Quality is everything – without quality, everything is Nothing
Quality starts from the top. Poor quality does not only cost money, but in the worst case the good reputation and consequently the market position and the revenue of company. It is therefore necessary to establish a cross-functional quality culture, covering all functions and core processes, reducing cost, improving price quality and customer loyalty. Initial spark for this is a quality campaign.
Riva approaches for A quality campaign
A prerequisite for quality in manufacturing is a production ramp up with mature, fully developed and assured products. The appropriate method for this is maturity assurance throughout the development process and the entire supply chain
An integrated problem resolution process across the entire supply chain enables closed correction loops and a sustainable elimination of the root causes.
A systematic lessons-learned process is needed to enable a continuous improvement of all products and processes to prevent the creation of defects
The implementation of a comprehensive quality culture raises the awareness of each employee for their contribution and supports to total quality mindset
To improve quality, it first has to be measureable. Transparency is created by a quality analysis and reporting process which involves all company levels from the shop floor to top management. The definition of key quality indicators and appropriate targets lead to measurable quality improvements
Targets and results
A quality campaign leads to a considerable and measureable and improvement of product quality (in ppm and quality cost, inhouse as well as externally towards customers and suppliers). Quality problems are resolved and effective and sustainable processes for quality improvement are implemented. The corporate culture embraces the importance of continuous quality improvement.
